After quite a while resting on my more or less laurels (past listings) it's time to get a move on and put up some more listings. My goal is five books every day from now on. This should be achievable, but not according to my past performance.

These books get listed in three places: on Amazon, Biblio, and Half. Books without ISBNs (older books) generally will not be listed on half. My prices might vary between these three places. Amazon and Half tell me competing prices, so I peg mine on them. Thus, if the lowest price for Deadly Percheron is $98 on Amazon, I might peg mine at $95. If it weren't my only copy maybe I'd be more reasonable. In fact, I think my Biblio listing is more reasonable.

Going forward (and possibly backward), links to titles of books will send you to the main Amazon listing. My listing will be somewhere amidst the other maybe 237 listings. This is where my photo of the book can be seen, which will probably be a better one than the one Amazon features. Half doesn't let me attach my own photo—at least I don't think it does. Photos are also at biblio. Lots of older listings still don't have photos. Nor updated prices.

I've been lousy at selling direct via email. Sorry about that, if you've tried me. Listing through the major portals keeps me honest—also prompt and reliable.

feed fix

I see that the Locus Blinks feed at the bottom of this page needs to be updated. I haven't been around these premises much lately. I bet plenty more needs to be updated as well. Google tells me this is a popular site -- an assertion that if true actually kind of shames me -- and they want me to join their Adsense program. If it were a cash cow I'm sure I'd do it, but I really don't know what kind of a cow it might be. I doubt cash. So I haven't bothered. Meanwhile I will try to dicker around with this site -- not to add visuals, you can find those everywhere else you look -- but to maybe fix or update links or feeds that have been too long neglected -- and maybe add content sometimes.

Now I've removed the "Shared Items" feed that was here, because that's been phased out by Google. My current "sharings" (read time wastings) can be found as +1s.  All my previously shared crap can be downloaded in a handy zip file, openable in a web browser, I assume (i.e. a bunch of tiny .html files) -- if you really get the urge. I haven't, as of yet. Anyone giving it a go, if you select all and then hit "open", let me know what happens -- but don't blame me if a thousand tabs or windows are created. Update: I just tried selecting four and indeed four windows popped open. I guess there's no limit to how many you can open and it would probably be pretty quick, but if you have to close them all by hand one at a time, it might not be a good idea to go the whole hog route.
