After quite a while resting on my more or less laurels (past listings) it's time to get a move on and put up some more listings. My goal is five books every day from now on. This should be achievable, but not according to my past performance.

These books get listed in three places: on Amazon, Biblio, and Half. Books without ISBNs (older books) generally will not be listed on half. My prices might vary between these three places. Amazon and Half tell me competing prices, so I peg mine on them. Thus, if the lowest price for Deadly Percheron is $98 on Amazon, I might peg mine at $95. If it weren't my only copy maybe I'd be more reasonable. In fact, I think my Biblio listing is more reasonable.

Going forward (and possibly backward), links to titles of books will send you to the main Amazon listing. My listing will be somewhere amidst the other maybe 237 listings. This is where my photo of the book can be seen, which will probably be a better one than the one Amazon features. Half doesn't let me attach my own photo—at least I don't think it does. Photos are also at biblio. Lots of older listings still don't have photos. Nor updated prices.

I've been lousy at selling direct via email. Sorry about that, if you've tried me. Listing through the major portals keeps me honest—also prompt and reliable.

Drop by Earthling's site to read more, including the prologue, then order right away as the Halloween Series books have sold out quickly in the past. First dibs given to folks who ordered last year's Halloween book, THE UNBLEMISHED. As further evidence of the series' success, the previous years' Halloween books have been picked up for mass market release: BLOOD RED will appear this fall and THE UNBLEMISHED at an unspecified time (congrats to Jim and Conrad!). THE SERVANTS -- glowing reviews, book due out soon
haunted forest tourMichael Marshall Smith's THE SERVANTS will be out in a few weeks. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY said "This moving parable deliver strong psychological insights into a child's powerlessness and anger" and gave it a B+, and it received a Starred Review in Publishers Weekly who called it "A superb, offbeat contemporary fantasy." The numbered and lettered editions are long sold out, and the trade hardcovers are going fast - the sales sure to be given a boost by the EW review. Don't miss out!
THE SNOWMAN'S CHILDREN -- just published
Our slipcased edition of THE SNOWMAN'S CHILDREN, Glen Hirshberg's debut novel with an introduction by Elizabeth Hand, an afterword by Gary Braunbeck, and illustrations by Alex McVey, was recently published and all preorders have been shipped. A handful of copies are left. Next up in this Modern Classics Series is Christopher Golden's STRANGEWOOD, due out later this year or early next year.
THE HELLBOUND HEART: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION
Finally, THE HELLBOUND HEART is still on track for a fall release. Ashley Laurence and Peter Atkins have delivered their introductions, the book has been laid out and is being proofed, and Clive Barker has just finished painting the cover. Also, another Barker book will be announced and preorders will start in a few weeks (details forthcoming - please don't ask now).
